Raising attention towards the mushrooming growth of local regional political parties in Kashmir valley, the additional spokesperson of National Conference (NC), Ifra Jan, in a video said that it was an attempt of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to weaken the valley’s oldest party National Conference (NC).
Ifra Jan released the video and lashed out at BJP’s ill intentions in Kashmir and said that she wanted to rasie 3 questions for the people of Jammu Kashmir.
She questions the source of funding for the regional parties that are formed in Kashmir, almost every other day.”Where do these local parties get money from?” she asks, adding “Why in Kashmir alone and why not in Jammu region?”
“We don’t have any property dispute with the Bhartiya Janta Party, but right now hefty amout of funding is being done on newly local political parties to break the National Conference,” she said.
Ifra Jan’s second question was that why’s it that the BJP was hell bent on breaking the National Conference. She asks, “What is the reason that BJP was targeting the NC and trying to weaken it?”
After which, she says that no matter what thoughts or ideologies people in held in the region, it was time for all to come together, be it the Congress followers, Hurriyat followers or the followers of some other factions.
Meanwhile, talking to The Kashmiriyat, Ifra Jan said that “No doubt, people have divergences of ideologies and convictions with regard to politics, some follow separatists, some follow freedom based or other ideologies. But, it’s a tough time for Jammu and Kashmir, so people should stay hand in glove to defeat the Bhartiya Janta Party in coming elections.”
