The residents of Pethmakhama , Budgam village in Central Kashmir are up in arms against the Power Development Department over the unscheduled power cuts in their area.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, aghast residents said that despite issuing a curtailment schedule with several power cuts, the Department has failed to provide uninterrupted power supply during the non-curtailment hours.
“The Department makes sure that we have no glimpse of light during the curtailment hours, however, during the hours when we are supposed to receive the supply, the power plays hide and seek with us,” a local resident said.
The residents appealed the higher ups for their intervention.
