
On Wednesday, photojournalist Mir Junaid who works with The Kashmiriyat was summoned to a nearby police station.
Junaid’s mother, who sounded utterly distressed, told The Kashmiriyat that Junaid received a call in the morning from a nearby police station, telling him that he has been summoned. When Junaid asked the reason behind the summon, the police personnel did not respond.
Later, at around 12:30 p.m., Junaid received another call from the Police station asking him to turn up. She said that Junaid left at around 1:30 p.m. in the noon.
“We don’t even know why he has been summoned. He was directed to appear at the police station,” said his mother.
