PM Modi arrives in Srinagar for ‘International Yoga Day’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening to participate in International Yoga Day, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

The Prime Minister will also be launching the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors (JKCIP) Project, valued at ₹1,800 crore.

This project will be implemented across 90 blocks in 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, impacting 300,000 households and reaching 1.5 million beneficiaries.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi shared on X, “Leaving for Srinagar, where I will be taking part in two programmes. Later this evening, I will be at the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ programme, which focuses on youth-led development. Key projects worth over Rs. 1500 crore will be inaugurated or their foundation stones would be laid. These works cover infrastructure, water supply, education and more. Tomorrow morning, I will take part in the Yoga Day programme in Srinagar.”
