
Jammu Kashmir Police on Sunday seized 9.500 Kgs of Narcotic substance from a house in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A Police Spokesperson said, “Police Station Uttrasoo received information through reliable sources that one Aejaz Ahmad Lone resident of Cheerpora Uttrasoo has indulged in the peddling of a narcotic substance and accordingly has hoarded large quantity of narcotic substance in his residential house. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act got registered in police station Uttrasoo, and the investigation was taken up, a search team Comprising of Anantnag Police and the Executive Magistrate concerned was constituted who carried out the search of the house.”
“During search about 9.500 KG’s of Bung Boosa like substance was recovered from the said residential house which was seized on spot and accused arrested. Further investigation in the instant case continues”, he said.
