Taking cognizance of the objectionable article uploaded by a WordPress blog, Kashmir Fight, the Jammu Kashmir police have registered a case against the website handler.
This website as per the Police is operated from Pakistan.
In the year 2018, the WordPress blog wrote defamatory articles against journalist Shujaat Bukhari, after which he was killed a few days later. A few days ago, a list of media personnel besides some political, social workers of the state was published.
According to the police spokesperson, the website is promoting radicalism.
The contents published on it harm the unity, integrity of the country, the Police has said, adding, Police have registered an FIR against the website handler at the Kothibagh police station in Srinagar.
Jammu Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh had said that the released list of political-social activists and media personnel of Kashmir on the website is a conspiracy to intimidate the people working for peace restoration in the state.
