A Policeman died during a road accident at his native in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said on Saturday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that the policeman identified as Zadil Ahmed Bhat son of Bashir Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Bandpoo area in Chitragam was hit by a load carrier injuring him critically.
Zadil was rushed to the nearby hospital from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura, where he succumbed to his injuries, the official said.
The police has registered a case in this regard and an investigation has been taken up.
