Suspected militants on Saturday afternoon shot dead a police man at Frisal area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
A Police official said that a head Constable while maning a checkpoint at Frisal area was injured when militants after lobbing a grenade, opened firing indiscriminately.
“The injured Policeman was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital, but he died on way,” a police official said.
A massive manhunt has been launched in the area to nab the attackers.
