Presiding officer suspended for violating polling rules in Bandipora

A presiding officer Monday was suspended  for violating polling rules in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, where first phase of urban and local body polls began this morning.

Reports said that the presiding officer was suspended  for violating norms by allowing a woman to accompany a voter up to the voting compartment in Kaloosa area of Bandipora district here this morning.

The presiding officer was replaced by the Polling officer 1 at higher secondary school Kaloosa.
