The freshly appointed General Secretary of Indian National congress, Priyanka Gandhi has taken twitter by storm as she garnered a massive response, and attracted over one lakh sixty thousands followers on the social media platform within 10 hours.
This happened a few hours after her massive road show in Lucknow attended by tens of thousands of people.
Shashi Tharoor, prominent Congressman, compared her first-day popularity on the twitter to that of Indian Film star, Rajinikanth, and called her “The new superstar on social media”.
Rajinikanth, pertinently was the only person who in his his first 24 hours on Twitter got 2 lakh followers.
Significantly, she was yet to post her first tweet when the number of her followers crossed the one-lakh sixty thousand mark.
Her logging on to Twitter with the account @priyankagandhi.
