“Musa Musa, Zakir Musa,” slogans welcomed the National Conference president in the Government Degree College of Ganderbal on Tuesday as he visited the area to address a convention of Party workers in Ganderbal.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that girls and boys in large numbers studying in the college gathered in the college campus shouting pro independence, Pro Pakistan and Anti India slogans as soon as Farooq Abdullah entered inside the area.
The party President and NC candidate for Srinagar Lok Sabha seat Dr. Farooq Abdullah was here with Ali Mohammed Sagar, Mustafa Kamaal and other leaders of the party, however the students did not give a warm welcome to the party members, in fact raised slogans against India as soon as the party members entered into the campus.
Similarly, a few days ago in Bandipora, the students of the Government Degree college held a strong protest against a function held by Indian Army in the college, the Army was forced to leave the college campus after strong resentment from the students.
In April 2017, the Army man thrashed almost hundred students of Government Degree college in Pulwama, after which a series of protests by students rocked the Kashmir valley, since then there have been no signs of decrease in the student agitation.
Protests against the possible attempts to abrogate Article 35A, Militant killings, Civilian massacres have been held inside various colleges in Kashmir, the Police has also arrested various students after barging inside the college campuses.
