
The Jammu Kashmir administration has approved the proposal to create 37 new industrial areas. For this, the administration has allocated more than 9000 kanals of land to the Department of Commerce.
The Administrative Council on Friday approved the proposal for transfer of 9,654 kanals of land to the Commerce Department for the establishment of 37 new industrial areas.
This decision was taken in the meeting of the Jammu Kashmir Administrative Council chaired by the state’s Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu. For setting up these industrial areas, land has already been seen in different districts of Jammu Kashmir.
It is important to note that all these industrial areas will be made in backward areas. In these new industrial areas, CIDCO will develop 12 areas while Seacap will develop 58 areas.
