Pulwama MBA Pass out has Likely Joined Militancy

A youth namely Ishfaq Ahmad wani son of late Mohammad yousuf wani resident of Koil village of Pulwama district is missing from last seven days and his family is afraid that he might have joined militant ranks.

Ishfaq an MBA pass out from Baba Gulam shah Badshah university Rajouri has left his home on 20th of this month and since then he is untraceable,  one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat.

“Ishfaq has told us that he was going to take part in examination at Baba Gulam shah Badshah university in Rajouri before leaving home,” the  family member added.

After leaving home the family members tried to call him many times but his phone is continuously switched off, post which they contacted relatives, his friends but so far they have been unable to trace him.

“Later we lodged a missing report at concerned Police station and we are hopeful about his return,” family member told The Kashmiriyat.

His family members and  friend circle are afraid that he might have joined militant ranks, however they requested all the organisations with whom he might be to let him return.

His mother Rafiqa banoo while speaking to The Kashmiriyat made a request to Militant organisations, “I have toiled hard for his studies and I want him back at any cost.”

Ishfaq, a meritorious student was initially a student of Alamdar Public school at Koil, then he choose a science stream and completed his BSC from Government degree college Pulwama and later opted for Masters in Business administration.

After completing his MBA in year 2015, he joined  ICICI Bank however left it after one year and started fruit business with which he was associated before he left.

“The whole village is in shock and everyone wants him to come back,” one of his friends told The Kashmiriyat on condition of anonymity.

“I think he has joined militant ranks as his last Facebook posts were only in praise of jihad,” he said.

Pertinently his last Facebook post is” those who fight in jihad have the right to the spoils of the conquered or Paradise if he dies”.

Pertinently Ishfaq is son of famous Militant commander Mohammad Yousuf wani, who was killed along with his two associates at Pingelan area of Pulwama district on 31 August 1996.

Ishfaq is survived by mother, step father(uncle), three brothers and one sister. Among three brothers elder one namely Aijaz Ahmad is married and is working in police department.

A senior police official told The Kashmiriyat that it will be premature to say anything at this stage.

He confirmed that the family has lodged missing report and investigation is going on.
