Five Local Militants were killed in the gunfight that had raged late night on Friday in Czogam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that five Militants including top Militant commander has been killed in the gunfight and several protesters, two Army men have been injured in the gunfight.

Officials confirmed that the slain militants include top Militant Commander Gulzar Ahmad Padder, a resident of Takiya Adijan in Kulgam, Zahid Ahmad Mir, a resident of Wokay Kulgam, Masroor Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Fatehpora in Islamabad (Anantnag) and Faisal Rather, a resident of Yamrach, Yaripora in Kulgam and Zahoor Ahmad, a resident of Damhal Hanji Pora, Noorabad in Kulgam.
The Police has said that Gulzar Paddar, was a close associate of Altaf Kachroo and was involved in a series of militants attacks including killing of five police personnel at Pombay last year along with two bank employees.
He was also involved in the killings of SPO at Krewan Chidder in Kulgam.Besides he was involved in looting police guards at Damhaal and weapon snatching cases reported across Kulgam and many other bank robbery cases attempted in the area.
Zahid of wokey village was wanted for his involvement in the killing of policeman Fayaz Ahmad of Zainapora on the day of Eid.
