Continuous rainfall in south Kashmir has damaged a concrete bund in Laisoo area of Kulgam, raising fears of flooding in nearby localities.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the structure, built to protect habitations from overflow, developed cracks and partially gave way after water levels surged due to the downpour.
Residents appealed to the district administration and the Irrigation & Flood Control Department to carry out urgent repairs, warning that further delay could put adjoining areas at serious risk.
