Jammu Kashmir’s Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department has revised the rates for dairy products in the Kashmir valley.
A new notification issued by the department, accessed by The Kashmiriyat, stated that the department has “revised” the rates for milk (boiled) and the products prepared for it under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
As per the order, cow milk (boiled/ open form) containing 3 to 3.5 percent fat and 8.5 percent SNF will be sold at RS 45 a litre and the price of standard curd has been fixed to RS 55 per litre.
“The price of cheese (dry/ without water)) have been fixed to Rs 255 a kilogram,” the order read, adding that the rates will be applied immediately.
