Refrain from placing cow-dung, other waste on roads or face action: BDO Pattan

The Block Development Officer Pattan has issued a public notice asking people to refrain from littering cow dung and other types of waste on roads and other public places or face legal action.

The public notice, a copy of which lies with The Kashmiriyat, reads as “Whereas, it has been noticed that some miscreants are throwing garbage and other domestic waste on roadsides and placing heaps of cow-dung at spots of vital public importance.”

“Whereas, this act creates a lot of inconvenience for the general public and is posing grave concerns to the safety of public health,” it reads.

The BDO in the notice also claimed that the government has time and again reiterated achieving complete sanitation in village by means if proper solid and liquid waste management.

“This act create hindrance in this mission,” notice reads.

It further reads as “Now, through the medium of this notice, the general public is hereby informed to refrain from placing/littering cow-dung and other types of waste on roads and other public places failing which shall render strict legal action against the defaulters.”
