Likewise other parts of the state, the 70th Republic Day was commemorated at Islamabad(anantnag) district also.
The main function was held at Government Degree College (Boys) Khanabal, where the Chief Guest was Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Mohammad Younis Malik who unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the Parade.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag said that Indian constitution has guaranteed rights to its citizens like; right to religion, education & right to democracy.

He paid homage to the founder of the Indian constitution Dr. B.R. Ambadkar and said that besides having various cultures, languages & religions every citizen enjoys his/her fundamental rights.
The DC on the occasion congratulated the people of the district, Police & other security forces.
Meanwhile the Tehsildar for kokernag And DYSP And SHO Kokernag unfurled the national flag and took the salute in the area.
