The residents of Brakpora in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Tuesday held a protest demonstration against the failure of Power Development Department (PDD) to get their electricity repaired in the Area.
The residents blocked Islamabad-Achabal road and raised slogans against the Power Development Department (PDD).
A local told that we are suffering from acute power shortages from many days.

They appealed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag to intervene into the issue and make possible redressal of their problem.
Later Anantnag police rushed to the spot and assured the protesters that their power supply issue would be addressed on priority basis
On the assurances the protesters dispersed and vehicular movement was restored on the highway.
