Addressing a huge rally, the chief of PDP on Wednesday hit out at the central Government and said Jammu Kashmir has acceded to Gandhi’s India and not to Godse’s India.
In this mammoth show of strength, Mehbooba Mufti at Neel village of Banihal said that the center must restore Article 370 and resolve the Kashmir issue if it wants to “keep Kashmir.”
Mehbooba asked the people to stand united and “strengthen her voice for the success of her struggle in support of the restoration of special status guaranteed by Constitution and safeguard the identity and honor of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
The former Chief Minister said, “You cannot keep Kashmir by holding a stick or a gun (on the heads of the people)… the superpower America failed to rule Afghanistan on the strength of its power and had to eventually leave the country.”
Saying that dialogue is the only way forward, Mehbooba Mufti said, “Some of our own people get annoyed when I demand dialogue with Pakistan for peace in J&K and resolution of the issue. They dub me a traitor and anti-national.”
She also accused the BJP of “polarising the country and dividing the people of Jammu and Kashmir on basis of caste, creed, and religion”.
