Saudi led coalition fires artillery shells at village gathering in Yemen, 7 killed

Seven people were killed when the Saudi-led coalition fired artillery shells on the Ghwirban area east of Marib province in Yemen.

Local news reports from the province said that the Islah party militia (backed by Saudi) shelled a gathering of the Al-Hureeqdan tribe, a branch of the Obeida tribe, in the Ghwirban area. Besides the 7 killed tribesmen, many others were seriously injured in the shelling.

According to the report, the Saudi-led militia intensively launched artillery shells on the populated villages and used tanks and heavy weapons, causing a fire in one of the fuel trailers.

Violent clashes erupted between the tribesmen and the Saudi-led militia after the Saudis stopped Al-Hureeqdan’s diesel quota for watering their farms.

Meanwhile, the Saudi planes and spying drones belonging to the Saudi coalition entered the sky of the Al-Jabaliya region several times during the past 24 hours.
