A heavy Contingent of Government Forces has reached the Green Colony locality of Janglat Mandi area in the main town of South Kashmir’s Islamabad District.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police have jointly launched a search operation in the Green Colony area in Janglat Mandi.
The Forces have been doing rounds of the lanes and by-lanes in the area, however they have not barged into any houses as of yet.
They have blocked the entry and the exit points to the Green Colony area, Locals said.
When the Local Police official was contacted by The Kashmiriyat he said that there is no cordon in place.
“The patrol has been enacted in view of the nearing 15 August (Indian Independence Day),” he said.
