'She makes Kashmir proud'- Kashmir Female Teacher Selected for National Teacher’s Award

A Kashmir based school teacher from Nowshera Srinagar posted at Government Primary school Tailbal Srinagar, Roohi Sultana, who uses ‘play way method’ to teach her students have been selected for prestigious National Teacher’s Award 2020.

She has completed her Masters in Urdu and Kashmiri languages from Government institutes and also done a three-year degree course in calligraphy.

She has been working as a content creator for the subjects of Urdu and Kashmiri in the board of school education, also she works in Diksha as e-content creator and provides online classes to students through all India radio broadcast in Srinagar.

She finds the ‘play-way method’ as the best way to teach students at the primary level. Teaching students by adopting new innovative techniques make learning interesting and also all concepts of the students are cleared while learning in the classroom.

Her husband Sohail Bhatt expresses the gratitude and feels proud with this success of his wife. “It is not only the pride for the family but also for the teaching fraternity of Kashmir” stated Sohail Bhatt.

This national award will be conferred to Roohi Sultana for her immense hard work in the field of teaching and helping in the process of Nation building. This award will be given by President of India Ram Nath Kovind on September 5, Teacher’s Day.
