Sheikh Tajamul Islam (67), the director of Kashmir Media Service (KMS) has passed away in Pakistan, according to media reports.
Tajamul who was the editor of Daily Azaan had migrated to the other side of Kashmir during militancy and lived there.
The Jammu Kashmir Police in September taking cognizance of the issue of fake news in September 2021 had asked people to not believe in the content published in KMS.
He was initially a member of Jamiat e Talba, the student’s organization but it was banned by the Jammu Kashmir government.
He passed away after a brief illness in a hospital in Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad.
