“Shift Minority Teachers to Safer Places” – DSEK Proposes Government

 

In view of the recent killings of two government teachers, the School Education Department submitted a proposition to the government to ‘move the staff from minority community, to more secure spots’.

The Director of School Educational Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that he has submitted a proposal to the government, to move the teachers to schools situated in more secure spots.

Mir said, “DSEK has presented a proposition to the government and it is up to them, to make a further move”.

On October 9th, following the killing of two government teachers, authorities asked the School Education Department (SED) to gather the subtleties of all educators that belong to the minority community.

Principal Secretary to the government for School Education Department, B K Singh said, that they were gathering the data of minority instructors simply to follow specific security conventions.

“We need to direct  them with respect to how to be on the more secure side and how to move toward us if there should be an occurrence of any direness,” Singh said.

Singh likewise added, “We are attempting to protect the instructors at their current areas and at this point there was no doubt of moving or moving the educators belonging to the minority, presented in Kashmir to Jammu district.”
