Residents of several villages in South Kashmir’s Shopian district staged a protest to demand the restoration of water supply to their areas.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the residents claimed that they the available water supply scheme provides drinking water facility to almost 34 villages of Shopian district and now the department is planning to add more villages to it.
“If more villages are added to the already huge number of 34, the water scheme will become useless, the PHE Department must rethink its decision,” the residents said.
