Shopian Shuts, Kulgam Protests Claiming their Sons were Killed in bandipora Gunfight

A Spontaneous shutdown is being observed in Shopian as a family from Keller area has come up and claimed that one of the Militants killed in a bandipora Gunfight was their son.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a family from Keller area of the district has claimed one of the slain five militants Muhammad Umar as their kin adding that the family is on way to the Bandipora to demand the body of the slain.

Meanwhile another family from Brazloo area in Kulgam of South Kashmir has reached bandipora and staged a protest there claiming Bilal Ahmed alias Abu Haider, one of the Militants killed in the gunfight was their kin.

The gunfight that raged in bandipora late Friday continued for two days and ended with the killing od five Militants. Police buried them in a local graveyard claiming that the militants were foreigners.

However, on Monday, militant outfit Hizb ul-Mujahideen issued a statement and claimed that the militants killed in Bandipora gunfight were locals.

He identified them as Hyder Ali from Brazul Kulgam, Muhammad Umar from Shopian, Muhammad Sidiq from Bandipora, Mawiya from Kangan and Usman from Lolab.
