Sadness and grief gripped the Zainapora belt of Shopian after a temple was gutted during a fire incident in this Shopian area.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, massive flames erupted from the temple building after a short circuit.
“Locals along with police and fire tenders tried to bring the fire under control, but the fire damaged the entire temple,” locals told The Kashmiriyat.
Muslims of the area expressed deep regret over the incident.
Meanwhile, DC Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya visited the place and assured the locals that the reconstruction of the temple will be completed by the end of today.
