
A 19-year-old from the Shopian district in south Kashmir has brought honour to Jammu Kashmir by winning the gold medal at the 7th South Asian Square Dance Championship, which was held in Kirtipora from February 3-5.
Faizan Ayoub Khan, a native of the Pinjoora area in the Shopian district of south Kashmir had been chosen to compete in the Asian Square Championship while pursuing a BPE in Nagpur.
Recently, Faizan Ayoub won a gold medal in the 23rd National Sqay Championship held in Jammu where he was selected for South Asian Champion after bagging a gold medal there.
Authorities have named a cricket stadium at Lanthoora Shopian after him for his wonderful achievements.
For winning gold medals at a national level for consecutive years, the Sqay Federation of India has given me the title of “Tiger of India”.
