Grief hit the Shopian district Monday morning after the passing away of a renowned Islamic preacher at his ancestral home in the south Kashmir district.
Mohammed Shaban Bhat, noted Islamic scholar from south Kashmir’s Shopian district, as per local breathed his last on Monday morning.
As soon as the news of his death spread in the nearby areas, people thronged his house in the south Kashmir town in huge numbers.
Hundreds of people converged to his Nimaz-e- Jinaza at central Hanfia Eidgah court road Shopian at 10 am on Monday morning.
The deceased is known for his services to the educational sector in the south Kashmir district.
