
In the recently concluded Sarhad Jammu Kashmir International Film Festival in Pune, two short films made by students from Government Degree College, Baramulla, were named the best films.
The films directed by the students of the Department of Mass Media, GDC Baramulla titled ‘Schizophrenia’ bagged the first and the film ‘Khatay Angoor’ was chosen ass the runner-up among the seventy entries from various states of India.
‘Schizophrenia,’ directed by Nayeem Mir, a fourth-semester Media Studies Department student depicts the consequences of Schizophrenia on those who suffer from it.
Ubaid Zargar, a GDC Baramulla student, directed the film ‘Khatay Angoor.’
The festival was hosted by JAKIFF, a brainchild of NGO Sarhad in Pune, Maharashtra from June 11 to 15,
