Three out of the four Militants killed in Sirigufwara encounter in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district have been identified.
Officials identified the slain Militants to the Kashmiriyat as Majid Manzoor from Pulwama, Aadil (Dawood) from HMT Srinagar and Adil Mir from Sheipora of Sirigufwara.
The official said that the identify of the court one is being ascertained.
A gunfight had begun in the area when militants reportedly opened fire on a party of government forces who were conducting a search operation in the area.
The owner of the house in which militabts were allegedly hiding was also killed in the firing and his wife injured.
The operation was jointly launched by 3 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir police and CRPF.
