Six Militants Killed in Tral Encounter, Search Operations Starts

Six Militants have been reportedly killed n the ongoing encounter that raged between militants and Government forces at Arigam area of Arampora in Tral sub district f SOuth Kashmir’s Pulwama District.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat  that a joint team of 42 RR, SOG, Police and 180 BN of CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Arigam area on Saturday morning after receiving inputs about presence of some militants in the area, The Forces while conducting the search operation were fire upon by Militants, which resulted in an encounter.

In the ensuing gunfight, six Militants have been killed, who according to Sources are from Zakir Musa led Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind.

They said that the deputy of Zakir Musa, Soliha alias Rehan is also believed to among the Militants killed at the encounter site.

According to the initial inputs four of the six slain Militants are from Darsaroo area of South Kashmir’s Tral, another one is fro Melhora area of Shopian.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the firing has stopped, however the dead bodies have not been recovered as of yet. “Search operation has started at the encounter site,” he said.
