Snow Avalanche Blocks Jawahar Tunnel- Traffic Remains Suspended

A major snow avalanche has hit the Jawahar tunnel on highway connecting Jammu with Srinagar in wee hours of Tuesday.

An official told The Kashmiriyat that the avalanche has blocked the entrance of the tunnel from Qazigund side.

He said that a major clearance operation is underway adding that traffic has been suspended on the Srinagar- Jammu highway.
