The residents of Rampora, Rajpora in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district today complained that the authorities did not clear the snow from the roads and bylanes in several areas.
Far-flung areas of district Baramulla including Rajpora, Rampora and other adjacent areas continue to remain cut off due to the snow, which has not been cleared even after the passage of 8 days.
“For the last seven days, I’ve been indoors. Today, I had an appointment with a doctor, but I cannot move my vehicle, due to the slippery road. Had snow been cleared on time things would have been different. The locals are subjected to many inconveniences,” an irked commuter told The Kashmiriyat.
The locals of the area allege that the authorities were resorting to a callous approach in clearing the roads which are cut off, pushing the residents to face the hardships.
Meanwhile, the residents demanded that the administration takes swift action with regard to the clearance of various snow bound roads in the outskirts of Sopore town.
An official talking to The Kashmiriyat denied the allegations of locals and said that they had already cleared the snow on roads.
