A soldier allegedly ended his life in Rajouri district, official sources said on Sunday.
They said Naik A S Reddy of army’s 49 RR had used rope to take the extreme step inside hospital.
The soldier, they said had gone for a check-up regarding problem of appendix for which he was operated upon few months ago. He went to the hospital to get his medical status upgraded to be fit for active duty, they said.
However he used rope there and ended his life, they said. The reason for him taking such a drastic step was not immediately known, they added. (GNS)
