A man from Kulgam in Kashmir was seen performing Hajj with his mother on his shoulders around the Holy Kaaba has gone viral on social media.
The man in video Abdul Hamid, 45, the son of Mohd Ismail who is a resident of Cheddar Kulgam, has earned widespread admiration for his dedication and care towards his mother.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Abdul Hamid and his mother left home for Hajj on May 13 after years of wait. “When he (Hamid) was young, his mother often asked him to take her to Hajj. Over the years, Faziya Begum (mother) grew frail and weak, and it was this year that Faziya was among the lucky ones who were chosen for Hajj,” the locals said.
In an increasingly materialistic society, this video depicts an act of love and devotion, capturing the image of a son’s unwavering loyalty to his mother and has won hearts both online and offline.
The video has since garnered widespread attention on social media platforms, with many sharing their admiration for the son’s selfless act.
“In this materialistic world when people have lost morals, etiquettes everything, Abdul Hameed Pala Sb is an example for present and future generations. He serves an example of Mother-Son Relationship,” Sheikh Mubashir, a Facebook user wrote.
Some users expressed their belief that the son’s act of kindness would bring him great blessings from Allah.
