South Kashmir Shuts to Remember Qazi Nisar

A Complete shutdown is being observed in Pulwama, Kulgam, Parts of Shopian and Islamabad (Anantnag) District to commemorate the anniversary of slain Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Dr. Qazi Nisar.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that educational institutes have shut, Oil stations closed while Restrictions have been imposed in the township of Islamabad, Achabal, Kulgam while concertina wires have been placed at all the entry points of Islamabad township.

Dr. Qazi Nisar was assassinated by unidentified gunmen in 1994 on June 19.
