Amid a spontaneous shutdown, clashes erupted in south Kashmir’s Pulwama town on Wednesday after locals staged a protest demanded the body of slain Militant be returned to his family.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat clashes erupted near police station Pulwama where youth hurled stones on forces who retaliated with teargas shelling to disperse the protesters.
Five Militants were killed in Bandipora on September 21 after which Forces claimed that the five were foreigners.
However a Militant outfit claimed that the five were locals identified as Hyder Ali from Brazul Kulgam, Muhammad Umar from Shopian, Mohammad Siddiq from Bandipora, Mawiya from Kangan and Usman from Lolab.
The Family of Abdul Rashid Lone from Pulwama district’s Kangan area also claimed that their son was killed in the Gunfight and demanded the body of slain for last rites.
