A shutdown is being observed in Pulwama, Kulgam and Islamabad (Anantnag) areas of the southern district to mourn the killing of Militants and Civilians is Kulgam District earlier on Sunday.

They said that two of the Militants have been identified as Zubair Lone Ahmed Lone, a resident of Kulgam who was affiliated to Jaish e Muhammad, Yazil Makroo @Abu Musa who was a resident of Arwani in Bijbehara area and Shahid ul Islam of South Kashmir Districts.

All shops and business establishments were closed while public transport remained thin on roads.
The shutdown was spontaneous and no organization had called for the shutdown.
