Srinagar blast: 10 persons injured in grenade attack – Full list of victims

A grenade attack near the TRC Chowk area of Srinagar district in central Kashmir injured ten people on Sunday afternoon.

Official sources said that unknown assailants hurled a grenade near a CRPF vehicle in the bustling Sunday market area, leading to multiple injuries among civilians.

Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that the injured were immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital, where they are being treated for splinter wounds.

They said that injured are reported to be in stable condition. They have been identified as:

1. Misba, 17, daughter of Mohammad Amin Tantry, resident of Nowgam.

2. Azaan Kaloo, 17, son of Javaid Ahmad Kaloo, resident of Noorbagh.

3. Habibullah Rather, 50, son of Abdul Jabbar, resident of Kaloosa, Bandipora.

4. Altaf Ahmad Seer, 21, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Amshipora, Shopian.

5. Faizal Ahmad, 16, son of Fayaz Ahmad Beig, resident of Khaniyar.

6. Umer Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, resident of Pattan, with a left-hand injury.

7. Faizan Mushtaq, 20, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, resident of Pampore.

8. Zahid, 19, son of Gulzar Ahmad Wani, resident of Checkpora Kalan, Nowgam.

9. Gulam Muhammad Sofi, 55, son of Gulam Ahmad, resident of Chattabal.

10. Sumaiya Jan, 45, wife of Zubair Ahmed Lone, resident of Naidkhai, Sumbal.

Security forces were swiftly deployed to the scene to secure the area and assess the situation. This is a developing story, and more details are expected as reports continue to emerge.
