The Jammu Kashmir Police on Tuesday said that it busted a gang of car lifters and recovered five vehicles in Srinagar.
Detailing the incident, On 16/07/2020 Police Post Bemina received an information from Amir Maqbool S/o Mohd Maqbool R/o Hyderpora Srinagar that his Maruti Car Bearing Reg. No. JK01K-4803 has been stolen from bemina.

In this connection, case FIR No.142/2020 U/S 379 IPC was registered in Police Station Parimpora and during investigation many suspects were called to PP and after their detailed questioning, Police was able to get a lead and apprehend one accused namely Mohammed d Umer Gagro, a resident of Razi Kadal Saifdinpora Srinagar, who is believed to be a King-Pin and is involved many theft cases.
On his disclosure 5 vehicles were recovered by PP Bemina. which included ECCO No. JK01R/8243, Santro Chasis No. 646189, Maruti JK01G/3766, JK01K/4803, Maruti 800 bearing Eng No. 2495820, which had been stolen from many areas in Srinagar District.
Furthermore investigation is still on and many more arrests are expected.
