Stone throwing clashes began in Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Sunday morning when scores of youth started throwing stones on Government Forces in the area.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that youth in large numbers shouting pro Militancy and pro Freedom slogans threw stones on troops deployed in the area.

The troops in retaliation fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters, however the protests were going on when this report was filed.
Earlier a gunfight had triggered in the locality, but the Militants managed to escape the encounter site.
