Stone throwing clashes near encounter site in Kulgam

Stone-throwing protests have erupted near the encounter site in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that scores of youth hurled stones on Government Force personnel deployed around the site for the anti Militancy operation.

Youth in large numbers shouting slogans threw stones on forces, who retaliated with tear smoke shelling to disperse the protesting youth.

Meanwhile, one Militant has been killed so far in the ongoing encounter. The family of one Militant commander has been brought to the site of the encounter to persuade their son to surrender.
