Muttahida Majlis -e-Ulama Jammu and Kashmir (MMU), in a press release, has expressed serious concern over the summoning of its President and leading Islamic scholar Maulana Rehmatullah Mir Qasmi Sahib by NIA and termed it extremely sad.
MMU said that the Molana Rehmatullah is not only a renowned Islamic scholar but also a sincere preacher of Islam who has dedicated himself for religious, educational and reformative services towards our society.
MMU said that such actions are causing anxiety and anger among the people and urged the govt to put a stop to this.
Pertinently, Moulana Qasmi was summoned by the National Investigation Agency on Wednesday in a funding case.
