Keeping in view the issuance of election notification for conduct of ULB elections – 2018 & to ensure conduct of free fair and transparent elections and to prevent violence, rioting, intimidation and misuse/display of Fire Arms.
In exercise of the powers conferred in terms of arms Act – 1969 and the rules made therein and as per provisions of section 21 (1) of the said Act, all the licenses of Fire Arms of this district shall mandatorily deposit there Fire Arms in their respective police Stations and the same shall remain deposited till the completion of elections.
As such all the Arms license holders in the district have been directed to surrender their Arms and weapons in their respective police stations within three days against proper receipt till further orders.
Any violation of the order shall be dealt strictly under relevant provisions of law.
