Sufi Saint Remembered in South Kashmir during Annual Urs

Thousands of devotees on Wednesday thronged the shrine of Sufi Saint, Hazrat Mir Amaan ullah Shah in Bidder Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district and recited Quranic verses followed by ‘Duaiya Majlis’.

The devotees during the annual commemoration prayed for long-lasting peace in Kashmir and sought peace, blessings and mercy from Almighty. They also prayed for the recovery of all the injured persons during encounter sites recently and sought salvation from pain, agony and miseries that people are undergoing in Valley.

On the occasion of annual Urs Of Aman ullah Shah Sahib Islamic Scholars said that the revered saint preached the message of peace and brotherhood enshrined in the teachings of Islam.

The saint is also known for his role in introducing the skills of famed Kashmiri handicraft amongst the people.
