Suspected Militants on Friday evening hurled a grenade at the residence of Congress leader in Monghama village of Tral township in Pulwama district.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that grenade was hurled at the residence of Congress leader Surinder Singh Channi, in Monghama Tral at 6:15 pm on Friday evening.
The grenade landed inside the compound of the house and exploded without causing any loss of life or damage.
Army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles and J&K police rushed to the spot and conducted searches to nab the assailants.
The searches were going on when this report was being filed.
