Encounter Over at Islamabad-2 Bodies, 2 Weapons Recovered- Full Story

July 25 Two Militants have been killed in the encounter  between Militants and Government Forces at Kotwal Gali in Lal Chowk area of South Kashmir's Islamabad township. An encounter pertinently raged in the township after a gap of more than 12 years. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 162 BN and 40 BN of CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation around 1 am. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces who had laid a cordon around Lal Chowk area around 4: 20 am. Leadership Crisis Over? Lashkar Regains Lost Ground in Kashmir

July 23 With the killing of top Lashkar commanders including Abu Dujana, Abu Ismail, Bashir Lashkari and others, Lashkar according to security agencies was in its worst crisis. Syrian Rebels Surrender at Quneitra

July 20 Rebels in Syria’s south have to the negotiate surrender of a sensitive southwestern zone bordering the ­Israeli-annexed Golan Heights, reports revealed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the ceasefire deal covering most of Quneitra province would see government institutions return to the area in exchange for rebels handing over heavy weapons. July 19 The report published by the Central Investigation Department recently revealing that funerals and encounter are fuelling Militant recruitment is finding recognition with every passing day as more youth continue to flank Militant ranks after every encounter. Indian Allegations on UN Report are Baseless, Untrue-Says UN

July 18 The United Nations Human rights Council has refuted the allegations made by India and the Indian Media and stood by its Kashmir report- the first ever UN Human Rights report on Kashmir. The Indian Authorities including the Indian Army chief had called the report "Politically motivated" and the Indian media ran constant stories against the report released by the United Nations on June 14. The outgoing human rights chief had called for an international commission of inquiry into the allegations, but it wasn’t taken up during the last session which ended on July 6. Last week, UN secretary general Antonio Guterres had backed the human rights commissioner. The UN has in its media briefing said that India dismissed the report "Untrue and motivated" without even examining it. ...

July 17 The Government Forces on Tuesday Night have launched a cordon and search operation in Chanigam, Pahalgamarea of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag)n District. 467 Local Youth have Joined Militancy Since 2010, 335 from South Kashmir

July 16 The Kashmir valley has been seeing a constant rise in the number of Militant recruitment after the fall the summer uprising of 2010. Reports estimate that as many as 467 local youth have become militants out of whom them 335 have come from 247 villages in South Kashmir. A report by Indian agencies has spotlighted the spread of the militancy that was quelled in 2010, but surged after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8, 2016. The report reveals that Pulwama district in South Kashmir tops the list, with 142 local youth from having joined militancy since 2010. July 15 The Government forces have launched a Cordon and search operation in Arihal Dangerpora Area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Sunday.
