Pulwama MBA Pass out has Likely Joined Militancy

July 28 A youth namely Ishfaq Ahmad wani son of late Mohammad yousuf wani resident of Koil village of Pulwama district is missing from last seven days and his family is afraid that he might have joined militant ranks. Ishfaq an MBA pass out from Baba Gulam shah Badshah university Rajouri has left his home on 20th of this month and since then he is untraceable,  one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat. July 25 Two Militants have been killed in the encounter  between Militants and Government Forces at Kotwal Gali in Lal Chowk area of South Kashmir's Islamabad township. An encounter pertinently raged in the township after a gap of more than 12 years. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 162 BN and 40 BN of CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation around 1 am. 11 ISIS Militants Surrender in Afghanistan

July 23 At least eleven militants affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have surrendered to the Afghan armed forces in northern Jawzjan province of Afghanistan, reports said. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the militants surrendered and handed over five weapons and six motorcycles to the Afghan armed forces. The development comes as ISIS militant groups intend to expand their foothold in this province. This comes as sporadic clashes are also underway between the Taliban and ISIS militants in certain parts of Jawzjan province. Over 100 affiliates of both the groups have been killed in the clashes.

Another Educated Shopian Youth Joins Al Badr

July 23 A youth from Malikgund area of South Kashmir's Shopian has joined Militant outfit Al Badr Mujahideen, making him the 5th youth from South Kashmir to join the Militant outfit. Locals from the Malikgund area told The Kashmiriyat that the joining of Sheikh Waqar has left the whole area in shock as he was very helping in nature and has no other brothers, only three sisters. Waqar Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohammed Aslam Sheikh has released his photograph with an AK 47 announcing his entry to the outfit. He was a lab technician and is a B.Sc graduate but he suddenly went missing from his home on last Wednesday after which his family started looking for him everywhere, but to not avail, a Local told The Kashmiriyat.

Indian Allegations on UN Report are Baseless, Untrue-Says UN

July 18 The United Nations Human rights Council has refuted the allegations made by India and the Indian Media and stood by its Kashmir report- the first ever UN Human Rights report on Kashmir. The Indian Authorities including the Indian Army chief had called the report "Politically motivated" and the Indian media ran constant stories against the report released by the United Nations on June 14. The outgoing human rights chief had called for an international commission of inquiry into the allegations, but it wasn’t taken up during the last session which ended on July 6. Last week, UN secretary general Antonio Guterres had backed the human rights commissioner.
